Our popular YardTenders are state-of-the-art backpack sprayers designed for both professional and home use. Ideal for projects ranging from weed control and fertilizing to wood, stone, and concrete sealing, they can even handle chlorine-based products such as deck and fence cleaners. Plus, a mechanical agitator, which allows the use of wettable powders, comes installed in every unit.
The 189 model uses a powerful internal piston pump that required no tools to service or repair, and generates the highest available spraying pressure - up to 168 psi. It has a 4-gallon operating capacity.

A Functional 4-Gallon Tank
The YardTender 189 features a distinctive, rounded tank that has an actual operating capacity of four gallons, making it comfortable to wear, yet with tank space to handle most spraying jobs.
A Powerful Internal Piston Pump
The pumping system of the YardTender 189 is built for top performance. To ensure strength and durability, we've made the piston cup out of a specially formulated Viton® that can stand up to even the strongest chemicals. Because the pump cylinder is recessed underneath the tank, fluids flow by gravity, which means it requires less effort to pressurize the tank. And the 189's high pressure capability can produce a finer spray pattern that uses chemicals more efficiently.
